A rare Chinese famille verte porcelain chocolate pot. Kang. Xi period, about 1690-1710. With short spout and flattened handle shaped as rectangular-loop painted with aubergine, red and green flowers. Wide reserves with flowering peonia and rocks on sides, alternating with more narrow with flower sprays. An iron red geometrical band under the top-rim. Well executed foot-rim, base unmarked. Dimensions: height - 12 cm x 9,5 x 8,5 cm. Weight: 258 g. Conditions report: chips to the end of spout. Hairlines or rather firing faults on the connection of handle and body. Chip or firing fault under the handle, on side of the body. Minor chips to the top-rim, from inside. Minor firing faults. UV and strong light white tested.
