A rare Pair of Qingbai Cups and Covers,Southern Song dynasty
both with good sky blue glaze, the straight sides divided by a single horizontal raised bowstring line, below the unglazed rim, the low domed covers with flat rim and plain knop.
Fairly good condition overall.
One with 1cm shallow flake chip exterior wall footrim, and minor glaze cracks, mostly rising from foot. Lid with overall glaze crackle but no apparent cracks. Two small chips and several tiny ones on the inner rim flange, and two chips edge rim, the larger 0.06cm across.
The other cup is nearly perfect, with firing cracks rising up foot, but otherwise ok. Lid has 0.08cm shallow chip inner flange, and a few other minuscule flakes

Other lid with two tiny chips flange and one tiny chip rim, the bowl with some glaze lines rising from the foot, only visible on glazed exterior, otherwise good."
