A rare cloisonné enamel pear-shaped vase

The pear-shaped body rising from a spreading foot to tapering shoulder and a garlic head, brightly enamelled with a band of lotus blossoms issuing leafy scrolls on a turquoise ground, between a thin band of ruyi, the shoulder with a band of descending leaves on a dark blue ground, below a further band of flowers to the neck.

The present vase is a rare example of cloisonné enamel wares of this period.
