A rare pair of Bronze vase for Ikebana from the 1960s (2) - Bronze - Tsuda Eijyu - Japan - Mid 20th century

The artist, Tsuda Eijyu, was the successor of the Imperial artist Tsuda Daijyu (1875-1946) who was a professor at the Tokyo school of fine Arts. Eijyu studied directly under Daijyu, and is considered to be the most influential Japanese bronze caster of the second half of the 20th century. He won the grand prize at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) in 1962.
