A rare pair of early 19th century crested coach panels painted with the armorial bearings of the Earl and Countess of Mulgrave and John Keane, 1st Baron Kean

both panels finely painted in colours and heightened and picked out with gilt on a black varnished ground and later mounted within oak rectangular frames with gilt inner edges, the panels each 33cm x 45.5cm approximately, the frames 38cm x 51cm overall (2)

Please note the two coach panels in this lot are sold with related copy correspondence and research information compiled for Miss Constance Daly by Rodney Dennys from the College of Arts, Queen Victoria Street, London EC4, dated 30th September and 7th October 1976.

Provenance:
From the estate of the late Constance Dally and thence by descent.

The two panels in the current lot having originally been part of a group of three, the third being painted with the armorial bearings of the Earl of Northesk.
