A reverse painting on glass of a young girl in Indian dress, India, early-mid 19th century, shown standing with one arm folded across her waist and the other raised to her face, her head tilted to one side, wearing a diaphanous scarf trimmed with gold which is slipping for her head, over a dark blue shirt embroidered with gold, her pink skirt with spot design, special attention is paid to the young girls jewellery, her nose ring, earrings pearl necklace and heavy gold cuffs, in a gilded 19th century frame, painting 24.2 x 18cm. The reverse has an inscription "R. Fox"
