A ruby and diamond pendant. Of geometric design, the old-cut pear-shape diamond, suspended from a rectangular-shape ruby within a pave-set diamond openwork panel, to the integral belcher-link chain. Estimated dimensions of ruby 10.7 by 4.7 by 3.1mms. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts, principal diamond estimated H-I colour, P1 clarity. Length of pendant 4.8cms. Length of chain 40.5cms. Weight 8.7gms. Purchasing information Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds bright.
Principal diamond estimated weight 0.50ct. Principal diamond with some moderate chips to the girdle. Principal diamond with some small light inclusions. Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Non-principal diamonds with small light and dark inclusions under 10x magnification. One appears to have a small chip tot he table. Ruby is a medium purplish red hue, well saturated, with typical inclusions. Ruby with a layer of several small iridescent patchy inclusions beneath the table facet, noticeable in reflected light.
Ruby in good condition with minor abrasions.
