Formerly in the Van Vlissingen Collection The Van Vlissingen family was associated with the trade of Chinese porcelain in the 17th century, particularly through the Dutch East India Company (VOC). They were involved in various aspects of the porcelain trade, including financing, ownership of ships, and amassing a sizable collection of which these items are part. One bowl has a crack to the rim One bowl has a shell chip to the underside of the rim All have small nibble chips and kiln fritting to the rims
