A set of six Victorian ivory-handled silver butter knives and side forks

A set of six Victorian ivory-handled silver butter knives and side forks, with conforming foliate decoration to the silver blades, and initial engraved 'R' to reverse, hallmarked Arthur Priestley & Co, Sheffield 1893, length of knives 8.25" (21cm). Together with a christening knife and fork set, with mother-of-pearl handles, and leaves engraved to silver blades, hallmarked William Hutton & Sons, Sheffield 1872 and 1873, three additional side and pickle forks, and a final butter knife.

Condition Report:
- Multiple item lot, in mixed, condition, displaying general surface marks, wear and scratches commensurate with the age and use.
- Some pieces displaying heavier tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Ivory handles generally displaying some discolouration and staining.
- Single butter knife is heavily stained and cracked handle, with large areas of tarnishing to blade.
- Some hallmarks worn and rubbed but most are clear and legible.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
