A silver-plated English teapot from 1871
A silver-plated teapot
Height 22 cm, width 24 cm
Weight 792 gr.
This lovely teapot was made in 1871 in England. It is silver-plated Britannia metal which is a lead-free form of pewter. Probably was created in Sheffield which was the center of the British metal industry and is famous for its silverware and fine metal developments. Despite the grayness that hovers over this image Sheffield is now considered a thriving and touristy city with more trees per person than any other city in Europe. Definitely an exciting collectible item.
