The snuff box of hinged rectangular form with slightly concave sides, the cover decorated with a symmetrical design of birds amidst flowering pomegranates, the base with two phoenix in branches of peony, Chinese characters stamped to inside lid, 6.5cm long, weight 2.33 oz troy, 72g; together with a Japanese silver miniature of a block pillow with reticulated tassels and simulated wood grain.
