A small Nepalese black stone stele of Pranjarnata (Gurgyi Gonpo) Mahakala. 15/16th century

Standing on a lotus atop a prostrate human figure and surrounded by flames, he brings a curved knife to a skull cup and holds a flaming emanation bar across his arms. Details originally painted, partially in thin gilt lines; very finely carved. Metal base.
