the rectangular stoneware dish with high sides, painted in iron-oxide on a finely crackled cream ground, with a branch of blossoming plum, the sides of the exterior with peonies in a central reserve beside crosshatch pattern, signed on the flat base in underglaze iron-oxide, accompanied with two fitted wood storage boxes
21.7 x 21.7 x 2.8 cm.
Condition Report:
There are some small chips and fritting around the rim with associated small losses to the glaze, there is a vertical hairline extending from the rim on the exterior and interior (approx. 5 cm.), a further hairline from the bottom left corner (approx. 2.5 cm.), the base with a few further small losses to glaze consistent with being placed.
