A walnut and feather banded chest of drawers, circa 1750 and later, 87cm high, 102cm wide, 54cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits, chips and old losses. Some filler applied to splits in places. Metalware replaced. Plugged holes visible to drawer fronts from previous fixtures. Top is later. Has larger splits across both sides. Later supporting blocks to interior of carcass. Evidence of old worm. Including one side with various worm holes visible. Feet are possibly later but well matched replacements. No key present, all locks are open. It is likely this was originally the lower section of a chest on chest.
