Condition Report:
The canvas has a firm lining and the paint surface is relatively clean with a relatively clear and thick varnish. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals the thick, streaky varnish which makes it difficult to read intervention. Only visible are retouching to a repaired damage along the right margin just above centre (10 x 10cm), strengthening to the diagonal reed in the lower left corner, and a handful of small retouchings in the background (notably the sky upper left). The painting appears in overall good condition.
