Also a splendid 1/3 page engraving of two locusts on page 208. - Some headdresses and initials. - The work is divided into 4 parts, with different authors for each part (some parts in Italian, others in Latin, or both) . The fourth part has its own eye: "Statuta nobilis artis agriculturæ urbis pars" with Latin text with annotations by Fulvio Fulvi Benigni. Uncommon. CONTENTS The first part contains the Statutes in the vernacular "with the notes of the present practice"; the second "various news on agriculture, cattle, salarj, and expenses, forests, and meadows, with a report of the grasshoppers" spread by Francesco Scufonio with 7 engravings in the text; the third part “contains bulls, decisions, and votes; in the fourth part, the statutes in Latin “with notes by Fulvio Fulvj Benigni”. Other chapters are entitled: De the games of Piazza Navona, and Testaccio, On the feast of the Virgin Mary of the Assumption, Salary of the bifolchi per month, On the sheep and goats, On the way of agrossare, On the horses and mares, On the milk buffaloes. and hard-boiled, Of the woods, etc. CONDITION REPORT Full rigid parchment with titles and gilded friezes imprinted on the spine, sprinkled cut; Pp. (18) 424 (8) 180 (28) ; some extinct woodworm holes on the back, rare browning, overall good specimen. Beautiful full page chalcographic front door engraved by Filippo Vasconi with an allegorical scene; vignettes, friezes and initials (also speaking) engraved in copper; lateral glosses; some small intaglio depicting grasshoppers in the second part of the work.
