ALBUM: An album of 50 photographs, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Egypt. 1891. a single contemporary album, quarter black leather over cloth, overall 240 x 320mm, spine compartments bordered in gilt, all edges gilt, comprising of 50 black and white prints with some original photographs mounted on 25 leaves, mostly early printed from originals, with a few original photographs of Australia, Sri Lanka, and Egypt, 1891, many images titled with photographer's imprint to lower edges or corners of photographs, contemporary ink ownership inscription 'E.E. Villiers. In Remembrance of Harold Moseon', dated February 7, 1891 on front free e/p., varying sizes from 205 x 151mm to 219 x 279mm:

A tourist album documenting cities in Australia, Egypt and Sri Lanka. The images of Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide depict major streets and landmarks including botanical gardens and government buildings, and SS. Duke of Devonshire in Sydney harbour on Australia Day, 1891. The album also includes images taken during visits to Colombo, Sri Lanka, with a few photographs of Suez and Said. (1)

front board and half of binding at spine detached, edges and corners worn and chipped, leather rubbed (with loss), loss to head of spine, cloth rubbed and marked, some leaves loose, internal binding loose but holding, some foxing to pages,
