Author:
Title: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN No. 23
Place Published:
Publisher:Marvel [Indicia: Non-Pareil Publishing Group]
Date Published: April, 1965
Description:

VG (4.0). Top staple pulled, a few small stress lines to spine, ¾" U-shaped tear to bottom right edge of front cover near M.M.M.S. blurb, very faint corner crease. Would grade 5.0 if not for the curved tear. Off-white pages with cream edges. Professionally cleaned and pressed by Comics In A Flash. Cover: Steve Ditko. Script: Stan Lee. Art: Steve Ditko. GPAnalysis: A 4.0 sold for $134 in March 2021.

Third appearance: Green Goblin. 1st app.: Norman Osborn (in unnamed, non-speaking role as a member of J.J.J.'s private club). The "Special Announcements" hype box teases readers eager for clues to the Goblin's secret identity ("Stan and Steve are much too tricky to let him turn out to be anyone that you'd easily suspect!").

A deluxe limited edition of 12 hardcover catalogues is available, in addition to a small number of softcovers. 400 lots, fully illustrated. Fun reference, great keepsake. Softcover $40, deluxe hardcover with dust jacket and limitation plate $200. Eight of the 12 hardcovers are pre-ordered and the rest will go quickly, so reserve yours now. To order, contact ivan@pbagalleries.com.

Consignments welcome for PBA's Spring 2022 Comic Book sale. Top prices for Pre-Code Horror, Golden Age, Silver Age, original art and ephemera. Find out why PBA is the new fan-fave of comics auctioneers. "This is some of the best commentary I've yet seen on the quality of the content of comic books... Priceless." — R. Crumb.
