PAIR OF FOLK PORTRAITS OF HUSBAND AND WIFE

Each 19 by 13 in.

Condition Report:
The wife: Light surface dirt to sitter's proper left arm. Slight buckling of the paper. Very faint watermark, proper right side near curtain. The husband: Evidence of some exposure to moisture and slight buckling of the paper. The upper portion of the background and man's hair and forehead with slight loss. A secured tear running from the man's chin to lower proper left cheek. Slight loss to the man's cravat. With several secured tears. There is a small one-inch tear near the bottom edge near the man's proper right button. There is a secured repair to the man's proper left lapel. Near the upper section there is a slight crease running through the mortar and pestle. Repaired tear across the forehead. Sotheby's recommends viewing the works in person.
