A large group of finely bound works on early American subjects, many of revolutionary and antiquarian interest. All but one leather bound, 11 works in 19 volumes, a very attractive and clean group overall but subject to foxing, markings, etc. No work fully collated and the lot sold as a collection, not subject to return.

Comprising: RAMSAY, DAVID. The History of the American Revolution, 1793, first Dublin edition, 2 volumes in 1, contemporary tree calf, a good copy, likely washed; FRANKLIN, BENJAMIN. The Life and Works of Benjamin Franklin, Bungay, 1816, contemporary calf, with frontis and engraved title, a sound copy; JEFFERSON, THOMAS. Memoirs, Correspondence, and Private Papers, London, 1829, four volumes, first English edition, later leather backed boards, ink spot to spine, stamps to versos of title pages, Sabin 35892; LEE, HENRY. Memoirs of the War in the Southern Department of the United States, Washington, 1827, second edition, early three-quarters morocco; [GLEIG, GEORGE ROBERT]. Narrative of the Campaigns of the British Army at Washington and New Orleans, 1821, first edition, later three-quarters red morocco; the fourth edition of the same, later three-quarters red morocco, stamped; ANDRE, MAJOR JOHN.
