AN 1864 MODEL CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABRE

Wide, slightly curved, single-and false-edged blade with large, central fuller that doubles at the foible, first part engraved with Savoy eagle, trophies and floral motifs, signed "J. E. Bleckmann" and "Solingen", tang; iron hilt with guard with four loop-guards, long cap and ebony grip, checkered in sectors. Iron scabbard with two suspension rings. Leather clutches and sword-knot.
