AN 1873 MODEL CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABRE

Slightly curved, single-edged blade with cylindrical back, finished, first part engraved Savoy eagle, coat-of-arms under a star, trophies and floral motifs, tang marked "F. HÖRSTER SOLINGEN"; iron hilt with guard with four bands, long, checkered cap and smooth, ebony grip. Scabbard with two suspension rings. Leather clutches and sword-knot.
