AN 1873 MODEL CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABRE

Wide, single-and false-edged, more antique blade (1833 type), in damask, with central fuller and double groove at the foible, first part engraved with floral motifs on both sides, tang; iron hilt with four loop-guards, marked "19", long cap, partially checkered, wooden, smooth grip. Iron scabbard with two suspension rings. Complete with leather clutches and sword-knot.
