AN ANTIQUE MOGHAN-SUMAC, SOUTH CAUCASUS approx:7ft.11in. x 5ft.11in.(241cm. x 183cm.) Very nicely design piece with single column of four octagonal medallions, each containing Memling gul. All surrounded by triple border of polychrome hooked panels and stellar-flowerheads between linked hooked lozenge and barber-pole narrow stripes. Unusual to have sumac technique used in Moghan weaving. this piece is in very good usable condition . Ends and selvages original. Good colour combination.Very attractive.
