AN ASSEMBLED SIX PIECE GROUP OF FISH DECORATED PORCELAIN DISHES, EACH SIGNED, FRENCH AND WEST GERMAN, THIRD QUARTER 20TH CENTURY, comprising a hand painted and stenciled elliptical platter centering two fish swimming amidst marine foliage in still waters enclosed by a gilt border, verso gilt overglaze "Hand Painted / Made in France," length: 24 1/4"; together with a set of five West German Joseph Kuba painted and stenciled porcelain dishes consisting of four plates, diameter: 9 5/8", an elliptical platter, length: 14 3/4", centering a variety of paired fish swimming amongst marine foliage and other small native animals within a gilt rim, verso Joseph Kuba Wiesau, Bavaria mark (used 1952-1972) overglaze green crowned shield enclosing "FINE PORCELAIN" above a two handled urn flanked by J and K over "19W30 / WESTERN GERMANY," illegible and worn overglaze black stamp. Length: 14 3/4"
Condition Report: Good condition for French/German porcelain wares of this age and use including but not limited to expected gilding wear, utensil scratches and the Joseph Kuba W.
