The figure modeled as a female, her dress beautifully carved from alabaster, standing in a celebratory pose and holding above her head a lidded urn functioning as a lamp, inscribed G. Gambogi to the base, the plaquette bearing 'Progress/G. Gambogi - Firenze', the marble pedestal with a slightly tapered column, and an octagonal top and base, inscribed 'made in Florence, Italy.
Total height: 201.5cm tall, the figure 93cm high, 25.5cm deep

Condition: The lid of the urn has been repaired, losses to four fingers on the right hand, numerous marks to the alabster body, some minor chips to the base. The pedestal a minor to moderate chips to the base, three large chips are with staff
