AN OAK PLANK COFFERMID-17TH CENTURYWith arcaded and gadrooned moulding to the front54cm high, 117cm wide, 41cm deepCondition Report: There are marks, scratches, splits, knocks and abrasions consistent with age and use.The cleated construction of the hinged top has opened cracks with later fillets of timber; the interior of the hinged lid has three later wood strut braces, with some corresponding marks of their fixings to the exterior of the lid.There is some evidence of worm.Some losses and restorations including some repairs with later timber. The repairs include the front left 'leg', and the back left 'leg'.A later wood strut to the back boards.Please see the additional photographs as a visual reference of condition.
