a good blue jacket with scarlet collar and cuffs. Rankin tailor's label inscribed to C.L.E. Du Vivier and dated 23/8/38. The jacket edged all round with one-inch gold Vandyke lace, forming dummies at the back, and the same lace on the pointed cuffs. Gilt studs to left front and plaited gold chain gimp shoulder-cords, bearing Captain's rank badges. Plain gilt buttons to sleeves. Companion waistcoat of scarlet cloth, also with studs to front, edged with lace of same pattern as on jacket, traced on the inner edge with gold Russia braid eyes. Ornate pocket openings, also edged with Russia. Lace slightly dulled
