AN OTTOMAN BRASS EWER AND BASIN, 18TH CENTURY

The ewer of conical form, the flaring neck with raised ring, the s-scroll handle linking neck and shoulder with a cast curved leaf design, resting on a spreading flower-shaped stand, engraved around the body with flower blossoming sprigs, set between stiff leaves to the base and the rim.
The basin of wide flaring form, the central aperture closed by a support for the ewer, stylized with flower blossoming branches in low relief above a band of stiff leaves to the interior and the exterior.
