glazed earthenware, the near-spherical base topped with flared and ridged neck, the sides decorated with a mass of flowering plants in reserved white, ochre and green on blue ground, with stylised leafy bands above and below

28.5cm high

Although the form is that of a huqqa bottle, it is more likely to have been made simply as a decorative vase, for sale to the European market during the colonial period.
