BP). Condition Report: Chest with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits and chips. Some larger splits in places, including to one side of the carved front - see images. The expected evidence of old worm in places. This has been disguised by dark wax/filler in places. Some old but later securing nails in places and some nails lacking to the backboard. Hasp and lock plate lacking. Hinges are old (probably 18th century) replacements. There is evidence of where previous fixtures once sat. Remnants of old stuck down paper lining to interior (probably 18th century).
