"Early Spring", gouache and ink on Arches paper, according to Betsy Wyeth's records it is signed lower left, 1957, old typed paper label verso reads "Andrew Wyeth Watercolor. Transferred to Hilda, Hope and Chris on December 20th". Donated by the artist to auction to benefit the Knox County General Hospital. Purchased by consignor's grandfather at that auction. Descended through family. Weathered wood frame, dimensional linen mat, glazed, OS: 37" x 29", SS: 29" x 21". Good condition.
