DESCRIPTION: This rare, vintage silver gelatin print is from an early special edition series, and is thus accompanied by an original envelope credited "A Photograph of Yosemite by Ansel Adams...Operating Best's Studio, Inc." This print is mounted to an early gray-backed Crescent board. Printed c. 1940. This image is illustrated in "Illustrated Guide to Yosemite Valley" by Virginia and Ansel Adams, published in 1940 (page 67 in the First Printing).
