Beautiful Large Room Size Red Background antique Indian Amritsar Rug, Country of Origin: India, Circa Date: 1900 – Like the other great antique Indian rugs, this one showcases an incredible degree of detail and color. Beautiful floral shapes in this antique rug glide around each other, each individual curl distinct and unified in its presence among so many others. A single rich, gold border dominates the edges of the antique Indian Amritsar rug, surrounded by smaller lines and bars that create points of interest and serve to ground the foundation even further. At the center of the antique Amritsar rug is a vibrant red background, home to a beautifully flowing series of leaves and stems. The natural arrangement of all of the floral motifs over the field of red suggests a carefree harmony.

Condition: This lot is in fair to good condition. The pile is low and even. There are scattered tinted areas in the field. The two ends are complete and secured. The two sides are re-salvaged.
