ANTIQUE JAPANESE WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS ON SILK, LOT OF FIVE, each featuring a single figure in traditional dress. Unsigned. 18th/19th century.

Condition: Each with overall toning, stains, scattered small holes and tears, pulled threads, and wrinkling of fabric, some pieces with light fading of paint; one example with woman having a significant vertical tear starting in upper right side, but does not go into the figure; example with figure holding umbrella with a few moderate holes near top.

Size: One 14" x 32".

Provenance: Historic property descended in the Clopper-Hutton family of Montgomery Co., Maryland.
