Condition Report:
The canvas has not been relined. There is some fine, hairline craquelure throughout, however this is not distracting to the naked eye. A small abrasion is visible in the top left corner. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals a few spots of cosmetic retouching, including:
- in the man's beard, neck of tunic;
- in the background, along the lower and left edges;
- in the sofa; and
- a few spots in the woman's right arm.

Overall, this work present very well, is in good condition and is ready to hang.

Presented in a gilt frame.
