Arno Hempel (1889-1983 American), self-portrait, carved wood sculpture mounted to base, monogrammed on back of piece, approximate height 19", width 6 1/4", depth 6 3/4", piece was exhibited at the 45th Annual Exhibition of Wisconsin Art with exhibition label on bottom of base.
Condition Report: Head is cracked through middle from top-center of head to right-facing neck to bottom of sculpture.
