ASTRA MODEL 400 SEMI AUTO PISTOL W/ HOLSTER

SERIAL 72302. BARREL 6". CALIBER 9MM LARGO. Stamped as the Model of 1921. This service pistol was made in Spain and was used by the army from 1921 through the 1950s. It was used by the army forces in the Spanish Civil War, and World War II. It was manufactured by Astra-Unceta y Cia SA Approx 106,000 made. It features a Blowback/Single. The original magazine included holds 8 rounds. Sights include a Front Blade and Rear Notch. Finish is factory blue with smooth walnut grips. This gun has matching numbers and retains at least 90% original blue with some patina showing through. Grips are excellent. Bore is sharp. The holster has four silver German pips attached and is in excellent condition. These pips are apparently for the Waffen SS Sturmbannfuher. Comes with letter detailing capture and return to the US after the war. Letter states "A Company 259th Infantry Reg. 65th Inf. Div. US Army 3/43-12/44 Citadel Saarlautern Saan River, Germany" but no documentation or capture papers. C&R
