Condition Report:
The canvas is lined and the paint surface is dirty with a discoloured varnish. The edge of the original canvas is visible along all four edges. There are a few pinprick losses scattered throughout, notably in the foreground, lower centre. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals an old, thick varnish, underneath which very few retouching appear to be visible. The painting is in overall good condition, which will respond well to cleaning.
