Condition ReportThe canvas has been relined. The paint surface is dirty with areas of discoloured varnish; traces of craquelure throughout with a few flecks of paint loss to the lower left corner, otherwise appears stable; stretcher marks to the upper, left and right border. Ultraviolet reveals old retouching to areas of the sky, to the horses belly, to the left-most groom and a few areas to foreground, also a few areas to frame abrasions. Held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
