A Landscape with a Peasant Woman Returning to a Cottage.
Brush and brown ink and wash on cream wove paper. 271x368 mm; 10 1/2x14 3/8 inches. With the artist's monogram red ink stamp (Lugt 60, lower right recto) and dedicated in ink, lower right recto.
Anastasi was a student of Paul Delaroche and Jean-Baptiste Corot in Paris during the 1840s. He exhibited regularly at the Paris Salons in the 1850s-60s, principally as a landscape artist focusing on views of the countryside around Paris, Normandy, the Roman Campagna and Naples.
