Albert Pettengill No. 3 Fly Reel
A vertical version of the reel invented by Albert Pettengill, issued patent number 361890 on April 27, 1887. The nickel plated brass reel is stamped on the underside of the full-length foot "No. 3", also having tiny "Pat. Pdg" stamp on the frame's side. A 3" diameter, single action reel with 14 spool cutouts on the handle side, original wooden handle grasp and working but somewhat muted click.
