Volume number 392/500 from the first and only numbered Facsimile Edition -Jerusalem The Hebrew University Jerusalem 1976
the volume is complete and (almost) as new condition.The Impressive, massive volume is two tone leather bound.the original explanatory brochure in English and Hebrew is also included.
this volume was offered as a gift to the head of the United Jewish Appeal -upon completion of his tenure, soon, after the publishing the special dedication with signatures of the members of the UJA board of directors and additional texts were added and bound in such a way as not to interfere with the text of the Codex.it looks like the volume was enjoyed for display only.
According to the information received the first 500 volumes which were individually numbered were meant to be offered as gifts to prominent Jewish personalities from Israel and Diasporah. the following volumes of the edition were not numbered. No additional editions of this Jerusalem 1976 facsimile were published.
