HISTORY/OVERVIEW
An icon of Italian design and protagonist of numerous films, this model stands out for its clean and timeless lines by Pininfarina and for the 1750 engine, the rarest in the first series.
\r
This Spider was the first to enter my collection from the seller and the ones that remained there the longest.
Used only from April to October, and always kept running even in the cold months of non-use.
\r
Serviced every year before the start of the summer, used regularly for long journeys without problems.
\r
Alfa Romeo 1750 "squid bone" in excellent condition of bodywork, interior and engine. ASI certified with Certificate of Historical Relevance and is in possession of the Alfa Romeo Certificate of originality.
The first target market, as reported on the Alfa Romeo Certificate, was the German one and it was then re-imported into Italy at the beginning of the 2000s and has been in the possession of the current owner ever since.
\r
EXTERNAL
The bodywork is in excellent condition, it has no scratches, rust or dents, only a little chipped paint in one corner of the boot compartment, a typical physiological defect of the model.
The headlights and gems are all functional and intact, the transparent caps of the front lights are intact and very transparent.
\r
The car has a soft top in good condition, but not original, it was rebuilt using a modern material, not corresponding to that of the time, therefore more performing, but not original in terms of material used.
\r
INTERNAL
Interior redone respecting materials and type of stitching in the seams.
The instruments, the levers that control the lights, windshield wipers, fans. . . are all working.
\r
The dashboard has slight cracks (visible in the photo) , typical of Alfa Romeo dashboards.
\r
Original and fully functional odometer and rev counter.
The kilometers marked on the instrument are to be considered "km reading".
Radio present, but never connected.
\r
MECHANICS
Engine and mechanics overhauled every year. Last service performed in April 2023. New radiator, new starter motor, powerful and fun engine.
\r
DOCUMENTATION
