NOTE: We would like to thank the art historian Alice Dusapin for her gracious cataloguing assistance. This work belongs to an early series from 1966-67, when Stoerchle was studying painting under the tutelage of Eugene Bavinger at the University of Oklahoma. It is closely related to another Stoerchle painting by the same title, Life Study #6, at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art in Norman, Oklahoma.
