Light surface grime throughout, with yellowing to varnish most apparent in sky. Canvas has been relined, and scattered areas of paint loss visible to edges of original canvas.

Under UV light examination, scattered areas of inpainting visible to grass and sky, with filled craquelure and impact crackle concentrated at center of sky. Two areas of fluorescence present to center of sky just above horizon line, likely repaired tears: one zigzags just to right of large trees, and the second arcs upward at center.
