Wide tapered cylindrical with molded base band, flat domed cover with shaped peak and incised lines, large scroll thumbpiece, lobed and fluted handle with elongated drop at top, mask terminal backed by cut-card motif at bottom, base engraved with early initials H/EH, and with later initials IFB 1808, the initials repeated on top of handle, the side engraved with later arms, marked left of handle and center of base IC fleur-de-lys below in shield, with scratch weight 32 oz and date 1762.
