Amlash Copper Spear Head w/ Stunning Patina!

**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Amlash, ca. 2nd to 1st millennium BCE. A striking leaf-shaped, cast-copper blade with a pointed tip and a raised midrib down the center of the head. A rounded neck joins the narrow tang and flanged terminal to the blade head. The patina on this piece is incredibly vibrant with light green, azurite, and beige hues. Long, wide blades were ideal for using while on horseback; to kill with a single strike. A stunning weapon for attaching to a pole as a spear!
