Early Amphora earthenware wall plaque, depicting an equestrian Arab composition in a landscape after Emile Guillemin (1841-1907) bronze sculptures. Wide border with relief design, painted in polychrome and glazed, gilt highlights; apertures on the back to hang on the wall. Marked with incised "JM hallmark" (for Johann Maresch) and "5763" on the back along with attached old paper label "Pitkin & Brooks, Sate & Lake Sts Chicago".
