designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co, Birmingham 1906
Of rectangular form, the cover gilt hinged with a gilt thumbpiece and catch, opening to reveal a gilded interior, to both sides an elastic retaining strap, the exterior central reserve spot-hammered and embossed with a Celtic entrelac motif, highlighted in turquoise green and blue enamelling, the rest plain polished, length 9cm.
